Particle Oxidation Catalysts (POC)
A particle oxidation catalyst (POC) is a device that can collect and treat carbonaceous particular matter (PM) or solid soot particle for a period of time adequate for its catalytic oxidation, so the particles don’t escape into our atmosphere via the exhaust. POC is a specialized catalyst with the capacity to hold solid soot particles. The captured PM material should be removed from the device through a regeneration process to gas products. Not only reduces the diesel smoke and soot particulate emissions, POC also treats poisonous carbon monoxide and smelly hydrocarbons from vehicle exhaust.
